White Denim

If your ears enjoy the sounds of post-punk, alternative rock, and pyschedelic rock then this is for you. This trio from Austin, TX is freaking sweet and the lead singer is amazing! They'll be playing in madison, wi at the high noon on Nov 5th. Recently caught my attention when they had there song put into the lstn#7 for the Urban Oufitters stores. So, you may have heard of them while getting your shop on.
See you kids at the show.

Gossip

This bands former blues-post punk vibe has now been altered into something more suitable for the dancefloor. I likey a lot!

She'll be in madison @ the majestic for an indiequeer party
Oct 17th
Just got reviewed in USA today Tuesday, Oct 6th pg 5D
3/4 stars, but they're 4/4 in my book

In Case You Don't Know the Words...

Bennie and the Jets-Sir. Elton John

Legend goes the song is about lsd or acid...really don't remember, but supposedly elton was fucked up on it when writting the song.

Hey kids, shake it loose together
The spotlight's hitting something
That's been known to change the weather
We'll kill the fatted calf tonight
So stick around
You're gonna hear electric music
Solid walls of sound
Say, Candy and Ronnie, have you seen them yet
But they're so spaced out, Bennie and the Jets
Oh but they're weird and they're wonderful
Oh Bennie she's really keen
She's got ELECTRIC BOOTS, A MOHAIR SUIT
You know I read it in a magazine
Bennie and the Jets
Hey kids, plug into the faithless
Maybe they're blinded
But Bennie makes them ageless
We shall survive, let us take ourselves along
Where we fight our parents out in the streets
To find who's right and who's wrong

The Battle

The Battle of Land and Sea
I found this band about two years ago and i have been reeling from amazement ever since. Formed in 2006 with Sarah O’Shura(vocals/guitar) and Joshua Canny(guitar) they become part of the Notenuf record label based out of brooklyn, new york. With completely orignal work and Sarah's haunting vocals it will leave you wanting more everytime. Check out their myspace.

Michel Gondry

Michel Gondry

If you're not fimiliar, get fimiliar! He's been around awhile, but few know who the man is that is behind such works as: Music videos for bjork, chemical brothers, white strips and daft punk, he's also directed films such as: Be kind rewind and the science of sleep. His work is truely one of a kind and i can only wish to have as much talent as him.....truely an artist of our time.

Crazy Insane

C.R.A.Z.Y
If you like bowie and lou reed you must watch this! The story follows Zac and his struggle to acccept himself. It's a movie about his life and the path of self-discovery he finds himself on. The soundtrack is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.! Beware: if you don't like foreign films stay far away because the entire movie is in Itailian.

Watch with your eyes

Blowup

Directed by Michelangelo Antonioni in 1966

this film is amazing with every frame looking like a masterpiece

the plot is loosely based on the careers of two fashion photographers David Bailey and Terence Donovan.

Get Fimiliar...

The following five artists will alter your brain and most don't even know them:

Joy Division
Even though it was a shortly lived band they put out music that was genious, but too early for it's time. Only now we can appreciate such masterwork that their songs are.

Fleet Foxes

I've spent many a days completely high as shit to them! If you enjoy going on a trip it's perfect for you.

Lykke Li

Offically my new favorite songstress, between her rythmic beats and amazing lyrics you'll be wow-ed.

Friendly Fires

Straight out of the UK they're truely amazing!!! they smell of bad-ass-ness and i like it.

HEALTH

If you're looking for fresh new sounds that make you want to dance......always a good thing.
